Canada Geese are a common sight all over Ontario and the North Eastern USA. The distinctive sound of "honking" is a strident reminder of summer's passing as the geese flock together ot make the long journey South before winter sets in.

This pair of adult geese are vigilant as they nurture their brood of goslings. Both goose and gander are fearsom adversaries for intruders or predators who venture too near the nest of their young.
