The Segwun was built as a steam driven passenger ship, which also delivered mail throughout Muskoka for many years. She has been fully and lovingly restored and operates out of Gravenhurst, Ontario. A sightseeing or dinner cruise on the Segwun is an enchanting way to take you back one hundred years to early life in Ontario.
Ships similar to the Segwun and Sagamo were the main form of transportation, not only in the 1000 Islands region, but also between Montreal and Toronto as well. |
